Last week members of the Force d'Action Navale deployed overseas to participate in a trilateral warfare exercise alongside British and Japanese sailors. Operating aboard British Type 45 destroyers French personnel received practical training to safely operate Close In Weapon Systems autocannons and missile systems while standardizing universal military terminology.

"We're currently being hosted by the UK's Royal Navy surface personnel to undergo specialised warfare training. The purpose of the training is to ensure our sailors are able to work together with allied nations as they prepare for future joint exercises with British forces. Whilst a vast majority of our equipment shares similar characteristics; different terminology, tactics and command structures are still a large hurdle we are training to overcome. Integrating those points of interest into our navy remains a top priority before engaging in exercises that require high level communication and tactics."
